Our team went to Spain and back to work with collaborators on this monumental project. “Utopia” by esteemed artist Juame Plensa is an immersive experience at the Frederik Meijer Gardens and Sculpture Park in Grand Rapids, Michigan. In the artists signature style, the exhibit features faces that take up the floor-to-ceiling walls. Our team was in charge of designing the steel frame system that would support the stone panels that ranged in weight from 80 kgs to 4200 kgs. The cubic Blanc Absolute marble material was transported to Grand Rapids, MI, and our team installed this tremendous design. We were honored to be mentioned for the Grand Pinnacle Award from the Natural Stone Institute in 2022. The judges were “impressed by the technology used to install and support the stones.”
